Privacy Policy

Consent

By using this website you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of the information described in this Privacy Policy and as it is modified from time to time.  Should you choose to withdraw your consent contact us in writing at the address below.  Limitations on the withdrawal of consent may apply if the information is required to be retained by law, or may be needed for legal proceedings.

Non-personal information

We use third party analytical software and services to obtain non-personal information about how you interact with our website.  This is sometimes referred to as log data.  This may include your IP address, information about the browser you are using, the website from which you accessed our site, the pages you request, when you request them and how long you view various pages.  IP addresses can sometimes be used to correlate with personal information or to approximate a location.  We use this information for statistical purposes, to measure site activity, for technical administration, and to improve the usefulness of our site

Cookies

Cookies are small data files that are transferred to the device from which you access our site. Cookies are text files that do not execute or “run” on your device, search your computer or transmit information to others.  Cookies identify your browser and may store log in or form data that allow you to move from page to page on a website without having to re-enter such data. You may modify the preference in your browser to not accept cookies, although it may affect your ability to access certain areas or features on the website or slow down interaction with the site.  You may also “clear” cookies on your device or computer using standard browser tools for doing so after visiting our website.  We may use cookies as part of measuring our website traffic and activity patterns.

Personal Information

Personal information is information about an identifiable individual.  Personal information does not include business contact information or publicly available information and does not include aggregated information where the identity of an individual cannot be determined or inferred from the information.  We collect Personal Information only if you provide it – for example, by requesting information or by becoming a customer, which requires personal information so that we may respond.  In these circumstances, personal information collected may include, but not be limited to, your name, physical and/or email address, phone or fax information, details of correspondence with us and information about products, services or information you have bought or are interested in purchasing or accessing or personal information you share with us as part of a human resources recruitment/hiring process or inquiry.

Use of Personal Information

Personal Information may be used and shared with employees to provide you with the products, services or information you have requested or to otherwise respond to your request. This may include fulfilling orders and responding to information requests, processing returns, confirming and tracking online orders should we implement an online order system, delivering products or services, establishing and maintaining accounts, and evaluating, maintaining or improving our business or communicating about employment opportunities.  It may also be used or to investigate a breach of law or to protect or defend a legal interest.  We may also send you information about our products or services if you have consented to such receipt and not withdrawn your consent.

We will only disclose Personal Information as required by law (including by order of any court, institution, regulatory body or authority that can compel the production of information), to enforce or effect other agreements, or to protect the rights, safety or property of our company, users and others.  We only share Personal Information with third party service providers with whom we have contractual relationships, such as a payment processor or shipping company, as is necessary for them to provide services on our behalf, if they safeguard Personal Information and, in the case of financial information, only if such information transmitted and stored in encrypted form.

Personal Information could also be required to be provided to another party if the company obtains financing or insurance, or in the event of a merger, amalgamation or change in ownership.

Storge and Security

Storage is principally at the ZBx office and computers in Toronto. Third parties are used to host the website database and for payment processing.  There are procedures in place to maintain physical, and technical security and access to Personal Information is restricted to employees on a need to know basis who are bound by this Privacy Policy.

However, the nature of software and the internet is such that no method of transmittal or storage of information is perfectly secure.  For example, email that lacks encryption is not very secure.

Also, laws regarding the collection, used, transmittal, disclosure or storage of Personal Information vary by country and frequently allow governments to access such information through various entities and share it with other governments.
